Bruce H. Shogren has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Presbyterian Manors of Mid America’s three subsidiary corporations — Presbyterian Manors Inc., Aberdeen Village Inc. and Ashfield Active Living and Wellness Communities Inc. (dba Aberdeen Heights). Shogren previously was Presbyterian Manors of Mid America’s chief financial officer. PMMA, the parent company of Topeka Presbyterian Manor, also announced that William M. Ward Jr. will remain president of the company and continue to serve as liaison between PMMA and its constituents.

Patrick Raney has joined the staff of family medicine physicians at Stormont-Vail HealthCare’s Cotton-O’Neil Clinic, 901 S.W. Garfield, and is accepting new patients. Raney, who received his medical degree from the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 1997, most recently was on the staff at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley. He specializes in comprehensive care for people of any age and in a diverse array of women’s health services, including long-term contraception. Rachel Monger has been named director of government affairs for the Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging in Topeka, the statewide association representing not-for-profit aging service providers. Monger previously was a partner in the law firm of Farley and Monger in Lawrence.
