The Clarion NX501E And NZ501E Mutlimedia Units
Satellite Navigation is provided courtesy of TeleAtlas, alongside connectivity for iPod or iPhone and Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming via Parrot technology.
The Graphical user Interface (GUI) features large animated icons which wok alongside a rotary control on the Clarion NX501E, whilst the NZ501E shares the on-screen icons with key function buttons on the unit's fascia.
Both systems utilise Flick Operation, which allows users to quickly and easily scroll through menus, and icons can be highlighted and rearranged by dragging to alternate positions to the user's taste.
The navigation system features a map database with 44 countries stores on an 8GB microSD card. New maps and content including POI can be downloaded via Clarion's website - navi extras. The Latest Map Guarantee provides free downloads for up to date data when the product is registered.
Parrot Bluetooth has been incorporated for the first time in a Clarion unit, offering wide compatibility with mobile phones and PDAs for hands free communication and A2DP audio streaming.
The units can both be connected to a rear vision camera to aide parking.
The Clarion NZ501E and NX501E both feature a 4x50W amplifier with a pre-set three band EQ which can be customised, and Magna Bass EX to boost the lowest octaves for deeper bass.
